1.  Size & Bleed
Files should be built to the final trimmed size with an additional 1/8" bleed on each side.  For example, when ordering a 4 x 6 postcard, the graphic file size should be 4.25 x 6.25.  When setting up the file into the correct format, please do not add crops or printers marks as this will increase the dimensions of the finished design file.
2.  Image Resolution
For best printed results, we recommend that files have a resolution of no less than 300 dpi.  Files submitted with resolution lower than 300 dpi may result in a low quality output with pixelated or blurry image issues.
3.  Color Mode
All full color artwork and/or images must be saved in the CMYK color mode.  Files submitted in RGB or Pantone color mode will be automatically converted to CMYK.  This conversion may cause a shift in color since they are not in the same color spectrum.
4.  Safety Zone
Please do not place any images or text beyond the areas known as the safety zone.  The safety zone is the area located within 1/8" from the edge of the sheet.  Images or text that are placed in the safety zone run the risk of being trimmed off in the final cutting process.
5.  Font & Lines
When creating files using vector based software such as Illustrator, InDesign, or Freehand, please be sure that all text is converted to outlines before generation of the final PDF file.  If using Photoshop, this can be accomplished by simply flattening the image.  Please note that fonts smaller than 8 pt. may not print well against dark backgrounds.  Keep all lines on printed pieces no less than .25 pts thick.  Thinner lines may be visible on screen but can often disappear on a finished printed piece.
6.  Artwork With Borders
When trimmed, borders should be no less than 1/4" from the edge of the sheet.  As a general rule, we do not recommend borders.  However, if they are absolutely necessary in your artwork, please keep the border thickness no less than 1/4" in order to make it possible for your piece to be trimmed as evenly as possible.
